Inaugural Iron Panther Lifting Team 2015
The iron Panthers traveled to Basehor Linwood High School for the 8th Annual Bobcat Power Invitational. With over 750 lifters in attendance, 5 KNHS athletes competed for the 1st time ever in this power lifting meet. Madison Wood (Jr 114 lbs), Brandon Carlisle (Jr HWT), Darryl Davis (Men 198 lbs), Nick Candela (Men 198 lbs), and Cody Sellers (198 lbs).
Madison Wood, Sophomore, finished fourth overall in the Jr Women 114 lb division with a combined total of 370 lbs (Squat - 185 lb, Power Clean - 95 lb, Bench - 90 lb).
Brandon Carlisle, Sophomore, finished fourth overall in the Jr Heavyweight division with a combined total of 790 lbs (Squat - 365 lb, Power Clean - 215 lb, Bench - 210 lb).
Darryl Davis, Junior, finished eighth overall in the Men 198 lb division with a combined total of 935 lbs (Squat - 405 lb, Power Clean - 275 lb, Bench - 245 lb).
Cody Sellers, Senior, finished fourteenth overall in the Men 198 lb division with a combined total of 855 lbs (Squat - 345 lb, Power Clean - 255 lb, Bench - 255 lb).
Nick Candela, Senior, finished thirty-fifth overall in the Men 198 lb division with a combined total of 510 lbs (Squat - No lift, Power Clean - 255 lb, Bench - 255 lb).

Iron Panthers Gain Tires for Non-Traditional Exercises
Thanks to the donation from Ronald Bellury, The KNHS Strength and Conditioning program gained access to three additional tires for non-traditional exercise activities. With this generous donation, the KNHS student athletes are ability to expand their athletic abilities.
Iron Panthers finish the inaugural season at Belton
Iron Panthers Compete at Belton Lifting Meet
This past Saturday, March 7th, the Iron Panthers competed against 11 other schools from around the KC Metro area at the Belton Pirate Lifting Meet. 15 Knob Noster High School student-athletes were tested in the following areas: Power Clean, Bench Press, Squat, Pro Agility, Broad Jump, and Vertical Jump.
The Iron Panthers had some great individual performances and walked away with 3 top performance medals, a first in school history.
Senior, Nick Candela, medal'd as top performer in the broad jump with a jump of 9 feet 4 inches for his division.
Mason Hoagland, medal'd as top performer in the pro agility with a time of 4.6 seconds for his division.
Sophomore, Madison Wood, medal'd as top performer in the squat with a max of 230 lbs. Madison Wood also finished with the second best overall Strength Index with a 6.90, as well as Top 5 finish overall in her division.
Other notable achievements, Sophomores Matt Walsh and Brandon Carlisle finished in the Top 5 overall in their divisions. As well as Senior, Cody Sellers, and Junior, Darryl Davis, finished in the Top 10 overall in their division.
The Iron Panthers did an amazing job competing and breaking several individual personal records (PRs) during the meet.

McLouth Power-Lifting Meet - 1/9/2016
The 2016 season started with a bang for the Iron Panthers. Six members of the Iron Panthers attend the McLouth Power-Lifting Meet on January 9th, 2016. For the men's division: Vincent Mayo, Steven Wenger, and Brandon Carlisle. For the women's division: Madison Wood, Taneya Brown, and Bryanna Kinch.
The highlight of the event was Madison Wood winning the top Bench Press and Squat for her weight class (114 lbs). Madison Wood also set was the top overall lifter for her weight class for the event at 114 lbs. Madison Wood left a lasting remark with the meet by setting the Squat Record for the 114 lb weight class at a lift of 225 lbs.

Bobcat Power Lifting Meet - 2/6/2016
The Iron Panthers returned to Basehor Linwood High School for the 9th Annual Bobcat Power Lifting Meet. 12 Panthers attended the BLHS Power Lifting Meet on 2/6/2016. This was the second largest group to attend a power lifting meet from Knob Noster. The individuals competed well and both the men's and women's teams had their highest finishes during a meet. The men's team finished 20th out of 44 teams and the women's team finished 8th out of 23 teams. The Iron Panthers had their best perform of the season so far as they competed against 44 other schools and over 700 athletes.
For the men's, Dylan WInslow (132 lb division) finished 1st in the Bench Press and Squat. He also placed 3rd in the Power Clean. Dylan's performance gave him the overall champion for his weight class. Bringing home 4 medals.
For the women's, Madison Wood (114 lb division) finished 1st in the Bench Press and squat. She also set the meet record in the Squat with a lift of 225 lbs. Madison finished 1st overall in her weight class. This is the second meet of the season Madison has won her weight class division.
