Knob Noster Strength and Conditioning Philosophy and Mission Statement
The KNHS Strength and Conditioning Program is based on the principles of four areas for athletic performance:
1. Increase Sports Performance - Increasing the following areas: Strength, Speed, Explosive Movements, Agility, Flexibility, Body Composition, Nutrition, and Conditioning.
2. Reduce Injury - Increasing muscle and joints decreases the risk of injury. When an athlete is injury occurs, a highly trained athlete will recover quickly and be back to full participation.
3. Creating Mental Toughness - To create a community of lifters committed to focus, accountability, discipline, and a competitive nature.
4. Increase Personal Confidence - When an athlete creates "gains" in the weight room, their mental and physical confidence increases and therefore translates to better athletic performance.
